This Team Random group break includes all 32 NHL teams. Before the break begins, we will use a live randomizer to assign one pro team to each participant. Every card featuring an NHL logo will go to the owner of that specific franchise. In the event of a multi-player card, the prize will be randomized between the owners of the represented teams unless one person owns a majority (51%+) of the players on the card.

For players not pictured in a current NHL jersey, the following rules apply: cards featuring players in International, All-Star, or Junior/College uniforms will be awarded to the NHL team the player was rostered with at the time of the card's set release. Retired legends featuring defunct franchises will go to the current activated franchise (e.g., Quebec Nordiques go to the Colorado Avalanche; Hartford Whalers go to the Carolina Hurricanes). If a retired player is shown in a jersey for a team that no longer exists and has no direct successor, he will go to the team with whom he played the most games for. If none of the above applies, he will be randomized to the entire break.
